New Format & Playoff Rules
This season, clubs were divided into two groups of five. Each team will play 14 matches in the group stage, competing against teams from their own group as well as select teams from the opposing group.
The top four teams will advance to the playoffs, which will feature:
Qualifier 1 – Between the top two teams (Winner advances to the final)
Eliminator – Between the 3rd and 4th place teams
Qualifier 2 – Loser of Qualifier 1 vs. Winner of Eliminator
Final – The ultimate match to decide the IPL 2025 champion!

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB): Rajat Patidar takes over as captain, replacing Faf du Plessis.
